These examples represent the areas that the texture referenced on. As I mentioned before, there is not only one texture in a piece. I always put several materials and repaint them to make them fuse, but every part has a main texture.

Project 4 -- ENTIRE CHARACTER
Finally, I finish whole texture of robot. Although I did not spend too much time to study other stuff such as subsurface and fur, I still learned a lot about developing an idea into a real project. Also, I have a deeper perspective of texture and how those elements make the character vivid. It really helps to give the role life.

In this project, I arranged similar but different rusty texture and gave each part distinct but harmony color tone. I am very satisfied to the result. I also made a short film that integrated the robot into real environment -- Montgomery lobby. Enjoy!

Project 3-2 -- BODY MAP
Project 3-1 -- BODY
I used the same method to do the body. The only difference was I added displacement to every single part. Good news was displacement could really show the very detail, but bad news was the data became too heavy, so I took all of them off.
